On Tuesday 18 September, MAGIC Coordinator Mario Giampietro participates in the public debate on Squaring the Energy Circle in the European Parliament. The event is part of the Post-Growth 2018 Conference, a multi-stakeholder gathering organized by ten Members of the European Parliament representing six political groups: Philippe Lamberts, Florent Marcellesi and Molly Scott-Cato (Greens/EFA), Alojz Peterle (EPP), Fabio Castaldo and Dario Tamburrano (EFDD), Gerben-Jan Gerbrandy (ALDE), Marisa Matias (GUE) and Guillaume Balas (S&D). The aim of the event is to re-think future policies and discuss alternatives respecting the environment, human rights and viable economic development.

Other panellists in Squaring the Energy Circle include Francesco Ferioli  (European Commission, DG Energy), and Grégoire Wallenborn (Free University of Brussels). The session is chaired by Florent Marcellesi, MEP (Greens/EFA).
